All my life, I have been attracted to what some people would call sad
music. I understand this assessment, but I believe the word
"bittersweet," more closely defines the music I am drawn to. This also
describes a fair amount of the music I have created in the past and now
with my life partner and collaborator, Kristin Amarie.
We actually began composing this piece as part of a project we had
hoped to collaborate and produce with a very talented friend of ours.
Long story short, our schedules were never in sync, so we finished the
composition ourselves. Originally meant for a more elaborate
production, however here is the song, arranged simply for solo piano.
